According to a Southbourne Coastguard spokesperson, “On arrival, RNLI shore crew, ambulance crews and paramedics were already providing advanced medical care, after the casualty had been brought to the beach by other water users following reports they became unwell while paddleboarding. Coastguard officers maintained a safety cordon along the promenade to support the work of the medical teams and other emergency services before being stood down once the casualty had been taken from the scene by ambulance.”
